A Gentle Reminder

Welcome back, Little Leaves!

First, thank you to everyone that has been viewing my website, you guys are awesome. I still can't begin to explain how much you all mean to me. Second, I'm so sorry I missed last week, it was hectic in my household. It still is, but I'm pushing through!

Let's get into it.

Life has a way of making us feel like we should always be doing more, healing faster, or somehow be further along than we are. But tonight, I wanted to leave you with a gentle reminder.

You do not have to have everything figured out.

It's okay if you're still healing from something no one else knows about. It's okay if you're carrying grief that comes and goes without warning. It's okay if today was not your best day. None of those things make us weak. They make us human.

Healing definitely isn't a straight line. Some days you'll feel like you're finally moving forward, and then you'll feel like you took ten steps back all of a sudden. That does not erase the progress you've made. Growth and healing can happen quietly, in ways we don't notice until we look back at what we've gone through.

Be patient with yourself. Speak to yourself with the same kindness you would offer to someone you love. Celebrate the small victories, even if they seem insignificant. Getting out of bed, drinking some water, taking a deep breath, asking for help, or just surviving another day—those moments matter.

If no one has told you today, I'm proud of you for getting up and making it another day! Even if it was difficult.

So I'll leave you with this: you are allowed to heal at your own pace, and you are allowed to have hard days without thinking they'll last forever.

Tomorrow, I want everyone to wake up, take a deep breath, do some stretching, and say out loud, "you're not going to get me today, anxiety", or, "you're not going to get me today, depression". Even those small tasks will make you feel powerful.

Thank you for reading, Little Leaves. Until next time.

With love,

— Autumn
